Getting to Know Gorham
Gorham was settled in 1736 as Narragansett Number 7, one of several townships granted to soldiers and descendants from the Narragansett campaign of King Philip’s War. Traces of that early history survive in the town’s historic village center and its stock of 18th- and 19th-century homes.
